All wrapped up is book two in the The List Series

~Blurb~
Mari and Luca continue to work through their list of sexual fantasies in All Wrapped Up, Book Two in The List Series. They've abandoned their original plan of no strings attached and, for the most part, Mari's learning to be okay with it. She definitely likes Luca's strings (and whatever else he might use to restrain her), she's not sure she's ready to take the next step in their relationship. Luca, sweet, strong, commanding Luca, insists that it's time to move in together. Mari insists it's time to relax and enjoy what they share without complicating things.

With every moment they spend together, Luca shows Mari how good they could be together. Will Mari run away from her emotions, or does Luca have her all wrapped up?

All Wrapped Up is a novella length erotic romance and contains mature adult themes, including graphic and explicit sex

~Author Bio~
Braxton Cole lives in the Pacific Northwest where she spends most of her time holed up in her office writing stories. When she's not writing, she can be found riding her bike, hiking the fabulous local trails, chasing her kids, or wishing that her thumb was a little more green. She has a bad habit of killing what she tries to grow but hasn't given up hopes of one day being a successful urban farmer. Braxton writes erotic romance novels because romance is the stuff that makes life great and sex is fun. The two belong together, both in life and in fiction.

But through a miscommunication involving a private text message and Mari's nosy brother, Luca ends up at her 30th birthday party, before their planned rendezvous. Much to her surprise, they seem to connect better than she expected, and in ways she hadn't expected. He's strong, commanding, but also gentle and respectful and he makes her ache in ways she never thought possible.

But when Luca later expresses a desire for something more than just casual sex, Mari's impulse is to run the other way. After all, her failed marriage is evidence that she really shouldn't go much deeper. Can Luca convince Mari otherwise? Can he help her see that he's her ultimate birthday wish come true?

Forgiven (This, #3)Forgiven by J.B. McGee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*4.5 Stars*

This series just keeps getting better and better.

When I finished conspiring I needed to know more. I loved that it gave a perspective into the minds of Veronica and Ian. I recommend reading it before Forgiven but it's not necessary.

Forgiven took me on a journey through the craziness that was Bradley and Gabby's lives. They were both dealing with individual problems that gave the story a lot of depth.

"It's by grace, love, and forgiveness that any of us experience joy"

I particularly liked how Bradley dealt with the whole "baby momma drama". I liked that he questioned everything. A lot of times the guy just kind of takes it all at face value but not Bradley. That made me love him so much more. I SWOON for Bradley. I have a major book crush on him right now.

Gabby was stronger this time around and I really enjoyed her coming into her own. She seemed more mature to me. She was ready to tackle old ghosts and not just run away from her problems. Which was her past M.O.

I particularly liked the switch in POV's throughout the story. You really got to experience every event with each of the characters. It made you understand where they were coming from.

I am looking forward to book 3.5 Falling, Veronica and Ian's story. But I am even MORE excited about Blinded, Sam's story!!! Will we see more of Joe?? I hope so!

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Hiding in Plain Sight (book 2 in The Silver Oaks Series) by Kate Mathias

The much anticipated sequel to Worlds Apart. If you have not read Worlds Apart I recommend that you read it before starting Hiding in Plain Sight. They are both so good! Only $.99 each.

~The Blurb~
Graham Reynolds has always taken on the role of the protector in his family. He's a hard working DEA agent but he has a secret that he's been keeping his whole life--he can jump to parallel universe. It's on one of these jumps that he faces an impossible dilemma. Will he make it in time to save his half sister from the wrath of a mad man? Will Graham be able to deal with the consequences of his actions?

Lily Bennett is the girl next door that Graham remembers as the shy, quiet childhood friend. All grown up, Lily is a powerful CFO of her family's business. Graham saved Lily once when they were children but now Lily may be the only one who can save Graham from his past. Will she be able to pull him out of his darkness and back to her or will he be forever hiding in plain sight?

~An Excerpt~

“Hi,” She glanced up at Graham and slowly licked her bottom lip. Her eyes had gone from a warm brown to a dark liquid color that threatened to drown Graham. “Hi yourself,” he took a hold of her chin with his thumb and traced a small circle on her jaw line. Bending his head, he slowly brushed his lips on hers and was instantly met with a current that seemed to stir him all the way to his stomach. He craved her like no other, but also wanted to take his time and enjoy every curve of her soft skin, every crease he needed to memorize.

He inhaled her sweet smell and seemed to hold his breath as her scent filled every inch of his being. With both of his hands free, he wrapped them around her lower back and bunched a handful of material in his fist. Graham pulled her into his body, feeling her warmth and softness, which threatened to take all of his senses over the edge.

His tongue joined hers and in a slow dance with one another’s mouths, he hungrily deepened the kiss until he could hear his heart beating in his ears. Graham could be satisfied kissing and drinking in her lips for days, but Lily broke away from him slowly.

Looking up at him through her eyelashes, she bent down and slipped off her heel on one foot and then removing the other one, she let it drop to the floor. She never took her eyes off of Graham and watched him watching her. Reaching up and pulling her hair so it fell to one side, she slowly untied the knot on the halter dress behind her neck. Graham watched as the material slipped down and seemed to free-fall past her curvy hips to land in a heap on the floor.

Hiding in Plain Sight (The Silver Oaks Series, #2)Hiding in Plain Sight by Kate Mathias
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*4.5 Stars*
What a fantastic sequel. Even better than the first and the first was good already. Kate Mathias takes us on a journey that is out of this world in more ways than one.

Hiding in Plain Sight is the second book in The Silver Oaks series. The first book Worlds Apart is so different and interesting. It is different in the best possible way. You follow the story of Piper, Pip, and the Joes and their inter-connected lives. If you have not read Worlds Apart yet I recommend you read it before you read Hiding in Plain Sight, only because there is A LOT of background story that you might get little lost trying to figure out on your own.

Hiding in Plain Sight picks up exactly where Worlds Apart left off and then jumps 20 years in the future. We continue to follow the lives of Graham, Arie, Palmer, Pip, the Joes, and even the ever present Chad. We get to see how everyone has coped with Piper being gone. This story really demonstrates how everyone deals with loss in different ways. For some is easier to pick up the pieces and keep going while others struggle to not take the loss personally and feel abandoned. There are so many emotional levels to this story. It really grabs you and it’s hard to disconnect from it.

Graham is faced with a very difficult situation that leaves him uncertain if the career he chose is the right one. This leads to him being unfocused and causing his friend, Lance, to sustain an injury that he feels he is responsible for. Lily, Lance’s sister, has been Graham’s friend since childhood. When they reconnect they are immediately drawn to each other. She is exactly what Graham needs, even if he doesn't know it.

“I may have protected you all those years, but Lily, you’re the one that saved me. I didn’t even realize that I needed saving until you came along and opened my eyes”--Graham

“Sometimes even knights in shining armor need to be rescued too” – Lily

This story is even more intense than the first one. At one point is “jumping” crazy. It seems like everyone is “jumping” and the outcome of those jumps are uncertain. I loved getting to see the addition of other characters into the story. I am super excited for Cole and Brant!!! I think those two are going to bring some interesting twists to the next part of this story Spitfire. I can’t wait to see if/when Arie is going to be able to jump. I am anxiously awaiting the third book in this series!

Blurb

Brielle De Luca thought she was just an average girl, despite her nightly dreams of an impending apocalypse, along with a gorgeous man that pulls at her soul.

However, on the night of her 18th birthday, everything changes when she is thrown into the Elemental World, a world where she is supposedly the One that is spoken about in an ancient Prophecy; a Prophecy that states she is the key to preventing an apocalypse.

Now she must learn to control her power over the four elements, all while dealing with the love and intense passion of her bond to the man from her dreams, Jace Vasquez.

Piece of cake, right?

Excerpt

He stepped closer, only a couple of feet away from me. He smelled heavenly, like rain and citrus. "Every night. I've been trying to figure out a way to find you, to save you, and here you are, so close all this time, and I never knew," he sadly said.

It was my turn to step closer. Tears pooled in my eyes as I said, "I didn't think you existed. I hoped that you did, but I thought I was crazy to believe that I could find you."

I reached out my hand to touch his face. When I did, a jolt of electricity sparked between us, spreading what felt like burning honey throughout every inch of my body. What was happening to me? Whatever it was, I didn't want it to stop; it was one of those pains that felt amazingly good, almost addictive. Jace's eyes widened as an astonished smile spread across his face. "Unbelievable," he said as he grabbed a handful of my curls at the back of my head, pulling my face to his to crush his lips to mine.

His kiss was desperate, just like his gaze in my nightmares, only multiplied. I opened his mouth with my tongue, tangling with his as our passion increased. I had never had a kiss come close to this one, and it had just started. He tasted exotic, a subtle sweetness present as he caressed my tongue with his. I clutched his shirt, twisting it in my hands as I tried to pull his body to become one with mine. Heat rushed in-between my thighs and pooled there, sending tendrils of burning warmth up my stomach. I never wanted this to end; the world could stop turning right now, and I would be oblivious, deliriously happy in Jace's lips.

The Prophecy:
A child will be born, who within, the blood of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water dwell,
The sky will fall to reclaim the Earth, and bring forth the depths of Hell,
Five will journey to the mountains cast from Medusa's gaze, to halt what Evil has been sent to raze.

Prophecy say what?!?

I love a good paranormal read and Nikki Narvarz does a great job on her debut 'Envisioned'.

Brielle De Luca is a high school senior who just wants to finish school and experience something different then the life she lives now. Little does she know that when she turns 18 her life would change forever when she learns that not only can she control one element but she can control them all.

For a while Brielle has had very vivid dreams of otherworldly "things" that keep her up at night, but what she can't shake from the dreams is the boy that reaches out to her for help but she can never save.

"Somehow, all of that wasn't as unsettling as when I saw him- those startling eyes, glowing like embers, burning into me with a look of desperation that I still could not comprehend. Why did he stare at me like I was his salvation? Why did he elicit feelings of longing in me like no other? Talons gripped at his shoulders, causing him to thrash and reach in my direction. They dragged him away into the blackness of the night, and his screams penetrated me to my soul."

Brielle has an intense connection to the guy from her dreams but she doesn't even know what her dreams mean.

Then there is Jace.
Jace, a Fire elemental, also has a recurring dream, where a girl reaches out to him but he can't save, that hunts him at night. Jace knows she has to be real and living out there somewhere.

I can't give too much away because it would take away from the story. But I'll just say that after Brielle and Jace meet sparks fly and the fate of their world ends up in their hands.

If you like being transported into another world where magic reigns and true love CAN conquer all then check out Envisioned.

~Excerpt~
Standing on the landing in front of Blake's door knocking, my cell phone vibrates. Reaching in and pulling it out of my pocket, I open a text from Blake.

Blake: It's open. Come in and find me ;)

With a smile spreading across my face, I open the door walking in. Closing it behind me, I walk past the couch, tossing my bag on it.

Searching for Blake, I go to the last room I haven't looked in yet. Opening her door I'm frozen in place when I see a very sexy Blake standing in front of me, wearing a pair of black stilettos, black stockings with garter belts attached to a pair of lacy boy shorts, and a black bra that has me salivating at the sight of her. My dick jumps to attention, as a white satin tie hangs around her neck and over her breasts, the tip skims above her belly button. Her wavy hair hangs freely down her back. A pair of scarlet red square framed glasses rests on her face completing her look. Spinning around slowly letting me take in the full effect of this vixen who is Blake Riley, I say huskily, "Well this is a nice surprise."

Sauntering towards me, swaying her hips back and forth, I clear my throat when she reaches me. Tracing her finger along my collarbone and up my neck, she leans into me and whispers seductively, "Well hello Mr. James. I see you got my text. I seem to be in need of some assistance tonight." Tracing the shell of my ear with the tip of her tongue, my body stiffens, as the bulge in my pants grows harder. Grabbing my hand, Blake guides me towards a chair that sits in the middle of her room surrounded by the soft glow of candles placed sporadically throughout. Sitting down, I rest my arms on the armrests of the chair. With hooded eyes, I ask Blake, "Are you sure you want to play this game with me?"

Her eyebrow lift as she answers, "This is my game Mr. James and you have to follow the rules, or else you don't get to play." She leaves me sitting in the chair as she walks across the room. With her back to me, she says, "There are two rules, and if you break either of them there will be consequences. I'll tell you when the rules no longer apply, then and only then are you allowed to do what you want to me. Rule number one: Do not touch me at all; if you do, I'll restrain you. Rule number two: Don't speak. If you ssay one word, well, you'll miss one hell of a show." Fiddling with her iPod, Beyonce's "Dance for You," comes over the speakers.

Walking back to me and standing within my reach, she leans down so that we're eye to eye, asking, "Do you undertand my rules?"

My Review
RumorsRumors by Stephanie Abrams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Deceit, twisted plots, opportunistic backstabbing characters, Rumors has it all.

Mystery novels are not my go to genre BUT having said that after reading Rumors I might be more inclined to check it out more often.
Stephanie does a good job involving you with the characters and wrapping you into the story.
You get sucked into the worlds of these selfish, self entered, unfortunate characters.

I particularly liked how everything and everyone seemed to be linked together.

There are many stories happening at the same time. I particularly liked Allison story. The Rumors that were manufactured against her changed her entire life. Melanie's story made me laugh at times with her perseverance trying to get her ideas for the flowers on the bema (that were plastic, tacky, and dusty) conceptualized. Newlyweds Frank and Maisy get more than they bargain while trying to create a life together.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the story with its many twist and turns.

My favorite quote from the book:
"People are crazy and I'm not going to make myself crazy trying to sort them out"
Yep that pretty much sums it up.

The quiet lives of ordinary people are thrown into chaos that all begins with rumors.

Abrams favorite things in life are traveling with her husband producing exciting radio programming, finding occasions to speak French and kissing her English springer spaniel, Maggie McGee, on the nose.
Abrams is currently working on a series of travel guides, the first of which is a guide to visiting Ireland, and a sequel to "Rumors."
