Addison Snow is your typical teenager. She has a family that loves her, friends that make her laugh, and she's wrapped up in the excitement of graduating high school and going off to college to pursue her dream of becoming an author. When her mother, who also happens to be Addison's best friend, dies unexpectedly, her world comes to a crashing halt.
Death changes everyone...
To make the pain go away, Addison and her father travel down separate, dark paths. She chooses to end her grief forever, while he drowns his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. How do you learn to live again when the most important person in your life is gone?
Addison struggles to pick up the pieces of her life. Instead of getting back to being the carefree teenager she once was, she's stuck handling all of the responsibilities that should have been her father's. She has no time to grieve, no time for emotions, and no time for happiness...until Zander Reinhardt walks in. All it takes is one little handwritten note on a napkin to kickstart her back to life and help her realize that maybe there's more to that life than pain.
But can it really be that simple? Can she really trust this man who makes her feel alive again for the first time in a year?
Addison and Zander both have secrets they aren't ready to share. When the truth finally comes out, is it enough to tear them apart or has something bigger than themselves always been watching over them, pushing them together, making sure they both get their happily ever after?

Chills... This story gave me chills!

"Death changes everyone"

How true those words are.
I can't even put into words how this story touched me. Tara Sivec takes us into an emotional, touching, hard hitting, and deep journey that is just beautiful and ugly and so very REAL!

I felt so connected to the story. The entire journey was brilliantly written and enrapturing.

Addison was your typical teenager, bubbly, easy-going, wrapped in school events, getting ready for college. But after suffering the traumatic loss of her best friend, who also happened to be her mother, Addison and her father were left to deal with their grief. Her father chose to drown his at the bottom of a bottle. Addison unable to cope by herself chose to end her grief FOREVER. She was trying to pick up the pieces of her life, alone. Sometimes, life it's just too much to deal with on your own. Especially, when you're forced to grow up and deal with very grown-up responsibilities, like having to keep, her mother's dream, the family bakery afloat.

Zander frequents the bakery often. Never talking to Addison until one day when he leaves her a note.

After that day he becomes a permanent fixture in the bakery. Leaving more notes behind. Addison finds him intriguing but can she open up ?

Addison tries to move on from the enormous pain she carries. She goes to see a therapist. There is a familiarity about her that Addison likes.

"You're the only one who can make yourself happy again, Addison. You've had the power all this time. You just needed a reason to be happy again," Dr. Thompson tells me."

When secrets are revealed, will Zander and Addison be ripped apart? Or are there forces trying to make sure that they get their much needed happily ever after?

Watch Over Me was such a beautiful, well written story. It takes you on an emotional journey and shows you that we are never alone.

Tara Sivec completely knocks it out of the park with this book. This is one that MUST be read immidiately!!!
